Hello all,

My sister and her husband just had a near miss with a double glazing salesman from the "Ideal Home Group"  Angry. So can anyone give any recommendations of good solar PV installers in the Horsham, West Sussex area?

Cheers

If you have the kind of site where shading will / may have a significant impact on the output of your system, and you contemplate installing micro-inverters for that reason, then I suggest you speak to the man here.  I've not actually done business with him, as I'm in the midlands, but I did speak to him in the run-up to my December install, and he certainly appears to know what needs to be known about, particularly, Enecsys micro-inverters.

I have Enecsys micros installed, and as you will see from another thread, there is a question, but only in relation to one kind of PV panel, and that is the Sanyo HIT-H250E01 (which just happens to be the panels that I have, hence the thread).  So, if planning that particular combination, then I would strongly counsel waiting and watching for a few days.  But otherwise I have no hesitation in making the recommendation, and I have to say that Enecsys are being very professional about dealing with my issues, I couldn't wish for more.

Worth giving Marcus Allen a ring, he has several installations in your area and has always been good on price.07968840325

In case you are considering Sanyo HIT-H250E01 panels, can I also draw your attention to the fact, first reported on this board by GavinA in October, but more recently noted in several Sanyo-related threads, that this panel has its internal hexagonal-cell-and-diode structure arranged such the three diodes bypass respectively the top, middle and bottom thirds of the panel, when installed in conventional PORTRAIT mode.  This is different from all other panels with a conventional rectangular array of cells, where the diodes bypass the left, middle and right thirds of the panel when in portrait mode.

If you have a shading issue and are contemplating using the Sanyo HIT-H250E01 then the optimum orientation of your panels, so that the sunny parts of the panel can still generate when other parts of the panel are shaded, will be different for this panel than for any other, and I strongly advise you to take advice from someone who is *very* knowledgeable about these things.  A little reading of recent posts on this board will show you why.

we used eco heritage down in shoreham. they are a small local company and were very good. despite the fact they had all the problems with the supply etc with the recent fit deadline, they kept all their promises and delivered everything on time. Impressed with the installation, as a tradesman from a different field i thought the whole thing was well done.
