this is a 50 tube installation on south facing 33 degree roof in the isle of man.it is connected to a 250litre unvented range ultra steel cylinder.overheat protection is another 150litre cylinder same as above this is connected before the first cylinder on the incoming 22mm water main.the operation for this is the first 250litre cylinder is heated to 65degrees then via a 3 port motorised valve the second 150litre acts as a heat dump and will be heated with any extra heat provided by the panels, the second cylinder was put in place because i had recorded temps of 90plus in the cylinder and this is not a safe temp to store water at ! the reason for oversizing the panels is why have solar if your not getting 100% of your hot water needs in summer cant justify the outlay for the system unless your going to get useable results, so far system has been in for 8 weeks not had a day without hot water.not even connected circs from boiler yet lets see how long i can go !looking to install another 20 tubes and install secondary circuit on hot water with a stainless steel towel rad and wilo bronze pump to act as secondary heat dump pictures  to follow of boiler house with cylinders i have also installed mirrors underneath the tubes
