A parasite that's made a fortune out of gambling on such things as food? The sort of person who will put food out of the reach of the poorest in the world for the sake of profit?
Despite having looked hard, I can find no list of companies in which he is investing in the agricultural field, but I'll bet that it'll be the "high tech, bludgeon nature into submission" companies like Monsanto, can't see him getting rich supporting permaculture, furthering the work of Fukuoka, or helping sustainable farming.... whistlie

how did I guess? - a little more Googling brings up (deliberate choice of phrase there  -   vomit2) -
" Legendary investor Jim Rogers has been very bullish on agricultural stocks, including Monsanto, which has gained around 25% in the last year. Both near term and long-term demand represent potentially enduring trends, and professional investors have taken note. Dozens of hedge funds have positions in Monsanto and many of the other large agricultural stocks as of the last quarter"

A self made multi-millionaire investor maybe billionaire?  He also predicts some of the stuff we have now and what is looming which is why he upt his family to live in the far east as that is where the future is.

He will now invest in mining, agriculture and other commodities including alternative energy such as solar wind and hydro.........according to wiki.

I would have thought you would have approved that Martin?

Would I approve of a mass murderer with good taste in music? whistlie

The man is out for profit, not to save the world - by backing such odious enterprises as Monsanto (arch planet despoilers) he loses any credibility whatsoever on the "green" front...

As for "why he upt his family to live in the far east as that is where the future is" - what "future"? - further despoilation of the planet in the name of the god almighty dollar? He seems not to have noticed that many of the activities in which he invests are those which are making the world a far worse place.........
