This  has all been carried out as an experiment!

Solar system is a 20 tube 47mm Navitron fitted on a sw facing roof connected atto a DIY retro coil fitted  into the side of a thermal store.

Temperatures today 16/11/2007   cylinder start 21C  panel 7C  at 9.45

                                                      "            21C    "    12C   " 10.15

                                                      "            21C    "    21C   " 10.45

                                                      "            21C    "    32C   "  11.30

                                                      "            26C    "    32C   "  13.45

                                                      "            27C    "    30C   "  16.00

Thanks for sharing the data. What size is the thermal store?

Thermal store is origiinal equipment fitted by the buider circa 1990 insulation not so good size 450mm X1500mm
