It Broke Again

1 K.W. machine doing about 20,000 R.P.M. with no volts on the three phases.
Presume the fibre glass carbon brush box has caught fire again.
Volunteers needed to take it down while its still spinning.

It must be related to the time of year, the Big one Broke on January the second.

Mines done the same, seems a common prob i have a spare brush box and sliprings as they are gone too (appear ok but have internal short).
Have decided not to fit the new parts as a believe it is going to happen again as i am in a high wind area, instead ive just ran the cable straight down the mast by-passing the slipring setup, have a plug/socket setup at the base of the mast to unwind the cable.

The turbine has only been up 3days with this setup, but i have yet to see it rotate a full 360 in gale force winds.

Probably related to the high winds!

I wonder if the same problems afflict the 2kw 48v?  If they do I expect to be fitting the long welding cable fairly soon.
