which boils down to "we've done buggerall except waste 86 million of your pounds on chocolate teapots" Undecided
or in other words, "sod off, don't waste our time. we've flogged your futures to Atom Corp. Inc, and we've entered your details into our "potential terrorists" database........"

What on earth is a zero carbon building.  Everything organic is a carbon compound.    Looks like magicians are going to be in good demand.

Martin
Hopefully it was freetrade chocolate teapots and anyway they put my details on a disc and posted so I think we are safe on that front. Smiley

found this twaddle

http://www.zerocarbonhouse.org.uk/

traceability comes to mind regarding all the products, materials etc. used in construction, and who is going to keep track of it all. Probably a self regulatory body and we all know whose interests are involved.
The government needs to be seen doing stuff but its' policy and its' implementation hardly ever stands up to scrutiny.

I think there's a good chance that the prime minister, government, and your local MP REALLY BELIEVE that the UK Microgeneration Scheme is working well. I suggest people contact their local MPs with a copy of the response and point out what a waste of time the government grant scheme is.

You don't even need to waste money on a stamp - here's a website that allows you to contact your MP by email (they are duty bound to respond, so you won't get ignored, and I can vouch for its effectiveness, as I've used it a few times).

I've written to my MP about this...
