A couple of years ago I embarked upon a house extension, which also involved moving my oil fired boiler outside.  To cut a (very) long story short I have ended up replacing the boiler, much of the CH system pipework and preparing the way for solar water heating system to be installed by replacing my water cylinder with a mains pressure, 250 litre, twin coil hot water cylinder with a blender valve and header tank (all coming from a company called RGM).  The cylinder and  latter being organised by Solar UK and was installed by my plumber.

2 years have now passed and the extension is now (nearly) finished, however I have become somewhat sceptical that the cost of the quotes I have been getting to install the solar collectors or flat plates on my roof at a cost in the region of £3-4000 for 4 square metre collectors, could in any way be justified on purely economic grounds, even though with oil fired central heating the cost of heating water is only going one way.

However, I am impressed with what I have read about the Navitron collectors and the cost of the system, which seems much more realistic.  Whilst I am confident I could put the collector together myself, I would feel less confident about putting it on my roof or making the connection to the cylinder and my plumber is not keen on the idea either, having never done this before.

I live in Bedfordshire and I am essentially looking for a fitter who could install a Navitron collector that I would intend to put together myself.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Hi Chris,

I have moved your enquiry to the secure 'installer's area' - so hopefully one of our installers should contact you directly. If you do not hear anything, drop me a private email (sales at navitron dot org dot uk) and I will look into it for you.
