Hi Ivan & Co,

I appreciate Navitron and therefore this forum is a commercial enterprise, so you are obviously keen to promote your products and services and will rightly condemn the blatant misuse of this forum to advertise a direct competitors product.  However encouragingly you do seem very fair, open and interested to discuses and sometimes compare other products.

So to clear things up after the last little episode and to save any further confusion, misunderstandings or upset, would it be possible for you to set some clear and simple ground rules, so everybody knows what is and isn't acceptable, with regards to posting links, sharing information and the general discussion of other/competitors products on the open forum.

Cheer's and keep up the good work.

Lightfoot.

Yes, no problem. Obviously as the forum develops, things change, and rules may need to change accordingly. We have tried to run the forum as much as possible under 'etiquette' rather than setting rules, but there will always be people with different views etc.

I will update the forum rules when I get a minute, but in essence:

1)We don't allow the posting of links to competitors' sites or products, or competitors' pricing. (Same as you can't put up posters advertising Tesco in Sainsburys!).

2)However, we aren't trying to stifle genuine discussion of other products, so we are flexible: We are quite happy for competitors' products to be discussed in a technical manner as long as it is not done in a manner designed to draw business away from Navitron, or a veiled attempt to promote competitors' products.

3)We don't allow companies or organisations to post adverts, links or otherwise promote their products, websites, forum etc without prior written consent from Navitron Ltd. Commercial advertising is permitted, by prior agreement - Please contact for advertising rates.

4)Discussion of non-competing products, including pricing, website links etc is allowed, as long as it is posted by a regular forum member and is relevant to current discussion (i.e. We do not allow postings from people that register for the forum specifically to make a handful of postings specifically to direct traffic to their websites, regardless of whether or not the products compete with Navitron business).

5)Posts that contravene our rules will be modified or deleted without notice. Persons deliberately contravening rules will be banned.

6)Navitron reserves the right to delete any post, without notice if it believes the post is inappropriate for any reason.

If you consider Navitron's position in relation to your post, it would normally be self-evident whether or not the post is acceptable, but if unsure of whether a post is acceptable or not, feel free to email/PM me and I can provide advice on suitability or otherwise

We can supply them.

If anyone wants to advertise them, they need to speak to us first.

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure. SteveB's been looking into this side of things. I think it's an eastern europe manufacturer.

Great to hear your taking them on board Ivan...a couple of Eastern European manufacturers spring to mind.

Good luck and keep us informed.
