I try to find the time, some days - but often I have to put it off until the weekend.

I've had this site in my favorites for some time now, only just discovering this forum.

I would just like to ask if you have any plans for weekend demonstrations of visits ? (sorry if the answer is here and I've overlooked it).

I suppose I speak as a typical member of the public on the brink of actually doing something now, and my next step is wanting to see
what these systems are capable of running in a domestic environment (probably at just over the entry level and under a grand - don't laugh at me please).  Roll Eyes

I'm particularly looking at a wind turbine in the 200W - 500W area & solar water heaters to suit my fairly modest needs.

Thanks for being here, and the very best of luck for the future & hope we can do some business together sometime soon.

Adrian.

Now that's actually quite a good idea. We have always tried to avoid doing weekend work - as it is nice to have a break from customers once a week. However, it might be possible, once we have got all the demo systems up and running to offer a demonstration tour every now and again. Chances are we probably would not do it on the weekend, but maybe once or twice a month, depending on popularity, on a friday (as many people look for a good excuse for a friday off work - what better reason than to go on a renewable energy tour?) we could run a tour lasting a couple of hours and running through all of the technologies we offer with an explanation, costings, likely energy savings, payback time, ease of DIY fitting etc.

Wyleu - a launch party also sounds like a good idea. It will have to wait until we have settled in, and might benefit from waiting until the wind turbines are up - that way the beer can be chilled using an acceptable power source!

chilling beer using RE sounds a very good way to demonstrate the efficacy of such technologies - may I suggest that those of us attending the opening bash accumulate beer credits based on the number of posts on this forum - perhaps divided by 10 to avoid bankruptcy and a bad head the following day....

Haven't heard much about the grand opening, hope all is going well!

Have tried calling or even emailing with no joys of getting threw.

Can anyone tell me if the new shipment is in and are your orders being turned arround in a reasonable time?

Ed

Hi Ed,

We are definitely going ahead with an event of some kind, although having thought about it, we considered it might be better to run it in the spring - when we have a few more daylight hours (they seem to be in short supply at Christmas), and we will hopefully have a 5kW and 20kW wind turbine erected by then, as well as some roof-top solar demonstrations.

Not sure why you are having trouble with the phonecalls - we have one full time person on the phones constantly, sometimes more. It does tend to be very busy sometimes (many customers like to give us a full run-down on their current projects, whilst on the phone!!). We have restricted the timing of the phones to 9.30 - 4.30 Mon-Fri, to allow us a little time to do those jobs necessary at the start and end of each day.

We have not had your emails - which email address did you send it to?!

We have good stock of most items, so we probably have everything you need - let us know if there is anything you need.

kind regards

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Glad to hear all is good to plan. I’ve called the within those hours on a number of occasion with no answer also tried sales@nav*** and info@nav**** (spammers beware   Cry)

Some time ago. Put it down to your great success Grin

Still ticking boxes on the setup here but will be looking to place an order for 10 units of mixed sizes hopefully before Xmas. I also have a potential customer that may want to experiment with the wind power as he pays for his electrics from a 3rd party at 3x the going rate! Shocked But will also be looking into chip fat diesel genset. Do you know of any good suppliers the link that Amaterasu posted are also hard to get a hold of.

On a personal note, has dad finish? I bet he is getting itchy feet by now.

Ed

All most forgot, need two 58mm replacement tube, can collect, whats the best way to organise it?
