I agree those batteries look nice. It makes my 4 batteries bank look miserable.

Amy there are already a few manufacturer offering either hybrid or electric drive for their boat. May be these could be a source of inspiration for you?

hi jonah,
i went all wobbly at the sight of those lovely batteries, they look very like my own just after a bath. we could be related. the forklift babies are true deep cycle batteries supposedly able to go down 20percent plus, my 48s go up to 56v on the solar charge, then when they sit idle for a few days they go down to 51,i think i took them down to 47 on one occasion moving gear around the yard,i keep the topped up at all times with my solar charger, the forklift is only used a few hours about twice a week, the rest of the time it might be used to power tools or stanby use.
gaaaawwwwwwwd i love forklifts,, no battery comes near,,,,

Hi all, silly question time now, on a 48v battery, what is classed as 75% flat? do I go by voltage? The victron has a low volt alarm at 44v but I don't think I keep running down that low.

Come on guys, state the obvious and show me for the fool I am....

Jonah

i even raised the voltage alarm/inverter shutdown  to  23 volt  in the 24 volt inverter  , just in case my lovely family likes to bake Christmas cakes for the whole village  , when i am away  Grin

are the batteries new ?   2000 Pounds sounds very good
