74C top, 70C middle. Retro-coils.. I luv em.  However the temps have now cooled to 71.5/67 so need more insulation in case the sun don't shine tomorrow. (30 tubes/120L)

Yes, and I guess we use a lot of hot water too. Today, despite an overcast morning, we did get some sunshine mid afternoon, - enough to heat the tank from top to bottom to 53C.
I wonder how hot Paul can go?!

Dull, overcast all day, but quite warm. Bottom of tank reached 40C by end of day.

Heat dump radiator in use from about 13.00 hours

Solar dump cut in at 16.20 (67.5C). Bath run at 17.00. Top of cylinder temp at 19.45 61.5C.

30 tubes, 120L Top/middle 39.5C / 35C at 8am 82.5C / 78C at 7pm ! Yikes - shower time! If only I could sell my hot water to the Russians...

west facing 30 58mm tube collector, 210 litrecylinder temperature @ 20.00pm 62oC at 7.00 a.m cylinder was 43oC
no boiler in operation.

47mm tubes about 140 degrees or slightly East of South-East. The significant factor is my low volume tank, 120L. If yours was 120L you would get a similar temperature rise to mine (half volume, double temp rise). If effect we captured roughly the same amount of energy. Lots!!!  cheers Paul
