You are all cordially invited to the Navitron 'Under the Windmill' Party - Sunday 24th August

Starts 11am. Finishes late. Some people may wish to come during the day, others for the evening or to party all night - come and go as you please!

Programme Includes:

Guided tours of site and showroom
Meet Navitron Staff
Barbecue
Maybe some solar-cooked food/tea/coffee
Oakham Beer Festival at the Award-winning GrainStore includes live music
oh, and there's some rugby in the afternoon.

if we can get a band together we may even have live music into the night at Navitron HQ (anyone play an instrument?)

Plenty of Parking available. You can camp on site (or caravan on site). Might even be able to find some space indoors to crash out. Usual facilities, and we can even make the World Famous Solar Showers available.

Invitation only - so please email me, PM me or reply to this forum if you'd like to attend. Children/families welcome.
Bring a bottle.

Ivan

We've got the go-ahead for camping/caravans etc if required - we've got large car-parks and lots of grass on-site.

Thank you Ivan,

We plan to attend and camp (2 tents), kids would enjoy seeing the big wirly thing. Can we have a carbon-neutral camp fire for the hard core campers? Daughter can sing fairly well, everything from musicals to pop/rock if you can persuade her!

cheers

...kids would enjoy seeing the big whirly thing...

Does the "big whirly thing" whirl yet? Last I knew, it was still a curing block of concrete? Any more photos/news? Just noticed that "Stephen" (guest) has asked similar over in the Work starts on Navitron 20kW wind turbine Installation thread.

That's great -the more the merrier. Singing would also be great. I expect the camp fire could be arranged - in fact we've probably got a few old pallets that could be used. Can we get a guitarist to accompany Paul's daughter?

Try and stop me bringing guitar and keyboards Cheesy

assuming of course there's amplification and a source of 230 Volts AC.

Excellent, in that case it's the Wyleu and Ms Boats band!

Plenty of electricity available onsite. We've got our own substation.

Presumably we will all be doing our homework learning the words to the Navitron song?
