Hey Welshboy chears
We are redesigning our new housebuilt ideas .... and in all good designs Madness has to be first

and then ratio.. money ...etc
So we have a lot of stone here i can built with (natural stone from the land, but have to find out about the radon problem first ) , so i thought i could build a big part of the house just with the stones we have on site , without using any building blocks at all ( like the old buildings are ) using lime or clay based renders inside and lime based mortars for building ....and then face the whole bulding with glas to keep the walls dry and warm with a gap between the wall and the glass ( i guess its similar price to concrete block and insulation ( but a cooler idea

)
Only problem is how to keep the glass or the plastic clean ( wont kill spiders , cause luv them ..) My architect thinks .... iam a bid mental ...

thats fine...
The idea is to keep the nice natural stonework nice and defined ,covered by glass (good hanging systems available)
I saw a few renovations of old buildings in Europe that just used Glass as the Fassade instead of plastering the old stone .... like a window into the past .... liked that a lot
Just a thought and will perhaps invent a micro robot-powerwasher for vertical walls (actually for swimmingpools they exist
