Interesting

Have been thinking of upgrading my guy wires from 4 to 8 before i fit larger blade to my turbine.
Has anyone used or thought of using a gate post as an anchor, something around 10" diameter hamered into the ground about 6-7'  at an angle with a post knocker.

Reason i ask is that i have access to one of these

It will take more than a noddy post knocker to put in at an angle a 10" diameter post to a depth of 6 to 7 foot.
Would you like to bet on it  Wink

You can bring the machine to my farm anytime. I have lots of anchor posts which need to be put in and the contractors with this sort of tackle always have to resort to using an excavator. You may be alright on a peat bog but our heavy clay will stop it well before 6 to 7 foot deep.

We are on heavy clay too and i have hammered a 10" post to it's full depth (8') and there's only one knocker i know heavy enough to do this and it's the one in the pic.

We hammered a row of posts in to full depth then excavated one side out and used the posts as a retaining wall
