This has most probably asked before, and this Solar thermal systems section answers and discuss's just about every idea imaginable, but without searching and reading to the point of distraction, you then just about stumble across your answer. I'm sure a locked topic that could hold hints/ tips /do's /don'ts......i.e best pipesize up to a certain distance, pump speed, component positioning, insulation type and thickness, how to extend sensor cable, t.m.v suitability, controllers set-up....etc....etc.
I know my suggestion is just about the reason why this forum operates, but i'm sure that myself, like yourselves sometimes feel like being trapped on Groundhog day...................I think it would just be fab to find a tip very quickly if your  a hurry, like we all are.

My first recollection of tinkering was wiring a 240v radio cord to a 9v motor to my technic Lego truck, it ended with setting the kitchen on fire!............................I couldn't sit down for two days!

Apart from that, there are absolutely reams on the minutiae of solar systems in other threads - if in doubt, or you get confused, refer back to those two original faq threads. I have noticed the weakness of a discussion board such as this is that often a complete newbie to plumbing will find a thread where someone has picked up what they think is the bees knees of a solar tank off Fleabay, and are busy extolling it's "virtues", and have totally overlooked or haven't grasped the basics, sometimes it can be very misleading - the other blind alley is the "mine's bigger than yours" power game, whereby one sees ever larger tanks being employed in the vain belief that it will "improve" matters........ Wink
Keep it simple, leave the stuff on Fleabay where it is, and stick to the tried and tested Grin
