The Water Book – Judith Thornton

Excellent book, covering water conservation, sourcing and treatment.

Sewage Solutions – Answering the call of nature - Nick Grant, Mark Moodie, Chris Weedon

Good book, covering conventional sewage treatments and ecologically sound systems such as reed beds and compost toilets.

The Humanure Handbook – Joseph Jenkins

Great book on this cringe inducing subject. I think it’s available free online. Covers the chemistry involved and practical details for constructing compost toilets etc.

Ditto, ditto, and ditto,

To boot judith has a great sense of humour when dealing with sh*t on site as well.

Humanure, stunning.
