According to news earlier this year, we have 100 months to make radical changes to ensure the continuance of life of earth - by now, we have around 95 left, and little has happened so far.
Out of which was born an idea - for a festival, not just for a few days, but a festival that lasts all year, by intelligent use of the net - a coming together of people and ideas for a truly green festival where you can have fun, but also to get as immersed as you like in all things green, from renewable energy to keeping hens, and growing your own veg - the start of a really sustainable life.
We already have some great people aboard - Brigit Strawbridge will be there, we have a great internet team on strandby, who will shortly be starting streaming internet radio and tv to let people know what we're about, and start the great debates.......
Where do you come in? - anywhere you feel you can help - do you have skills to share? can you give talks/demos?, do you have/know a really good band/act? (we need entertainment too!), do you want to help sponsor us/take a stand/plug your company at the festival/on the website?.........The idea is that this is a festival of, for, and by the people - all of us working towards a common purpose - saving our beloved planet - so it matters not a jot who you are, what age, ethnicity, political leanings, sex, class - none of it matters, just that you'd like to become part of something very special...........
We have to look towards a genuinely sustainable future, we want this to be the platform for a real grass-roots movement towards that end, and to have some fun along the way too.........
You'll find our new internet "home" here -  http://greenhorizon.org.uk - and as part of it, there's a brand new forum attached - please, come and join us there (it's the same excellent SMF forum software as this one) - you'll need to register as a new member - tell all your friends, and see you there! (with many thanks to Ivan for allowing me to tout it here) Wink
