I read the other day about someone driving to italy on holiday as it was 'greener'. Cept it was proven that it was more efficent (used less fuel etc) to use a plane - as the gallons per person per mile is better for a long journey (like to italy) than a car. (but not from london to birmingham / glasgow etc) when shared out with a full plane. (sadly, quite a lot of the time, the plane is half empty Roll Eyes )

ahhh - but the car isn't plonking the emissions in the most dangerous place - up in the air, which I gather makes it umpteen times worse! Undecided
I'm firmly of the belief that had the good lord intended me to fly, he would have issued me with feathers, and a head for heights! - both of which are conspicuous by their complete absence! Grin
