I just got back from this exhibition in Docklands
some of you know that BWEA are not very discerning and out of 170 stands there were only 4 chocolate teapots

Number 1 was brilliant - French company called Nheolis
their turbine produces double the power from half the swept area apparently - all financed by a hitech venture capital company

I just looked up their web site and there are no pictures!!! - its too secret

the 3kW model will cost around 10,000 euros - the marketing manager on the stand was a delightful ex Sorbonne Muriel Orsolini  (of course that didn't influence me)

it looked like 3 pieces of gutter angled back and sideways ( like a Proven in a gale)
