I've got to do a thermal imaging survey in Liverpool sometime in the next fortnight. If anyone on the forum is interested, the usual Navitron forum offer applies - ie £50 for a survey.

Both Much Wenlock and central liverpool ok.

The Much Wenlock one will need to be on the way home as I will be travelling down the M6 - so not too far off course! But unfortunately, that means it will be the latest one.

Ivan,

There is another customer waiting for you, if you don't mind travelling and getting paid in dollars. I've heard he is quite interested in all this hippy tree-hugging stuff:

The Thermal Surveys will be taking place on Tuesday evening.

Johnrae, Hopefully I won't get that lost! I'll make a note of it - perhaps there will be others in Cumbria which would warrant a trip there. I know I'm due to do some training for a distributor in Leeds in the near future -which must be half-way.

Paul,

Hmm. Interesting. I'd be happy to do Mr.O's for free, but don't think I can justify the carbon emissions involved in getting there. I did recently do Buckingham Palace for a newspaper article. I can't post the pic yet, but once the article has been printed, I'm free to post it.

OK, second attempt - hopefully Thursday evening, but looking at the weather forecast, it's in the hands of the gods.

No school today here and after the three ring circus of mondays news this seems to have caught everyone by themselves.
I think your going to have a house coered in snow here which might not be too informative in some regards.

Snow is a very good insulator - so snow will make your roof look much better than it is - best without snow!

I'm due in Leeds on Tuesday, so now hoping to do the surveys on Tuesday night, if the weather permits.

As I'm coming from Leeds, it means anyone in Leeds/Bradford/York or between there and Liverpool could also be accomodated.

Ivan,

I go AWOL for a couple of weeks and find that you are all cosy and warm wrapped up in your new thermal imaging business - well done!

A mate of mine recently had a knock at the door from Plod,  one of his rental properties had been converted into a cannabis farm - a police helicopter with thermal imaging had detected abnormal heat losses from the roof space and led to the arrest of  the "mild mannered" Chinese couple who had recently rented it.

My neighbour works in building management and showed me his thermal imaging camera. We pointed it at the front of my 1905 house which lit up like a Christmas tree, where the radiators were fitted to the 9" outside walls.

This winter has been very bad for my gas consumption. I've used nearly 20,000kWh in the last 365 days, compared to a low of  12,000 kWh.  I've embarked on a programme of self-flagellation.

If you're passing Surrey or South London, my house is happy to say "Cheese" to your thermal camera.  I'll show you how to gasify woodchips for free if you wish - in a credit crunch we can all resort to bartering.

How about a thermal web-cam? Someone's bound to get their kicks from that.

Ivan,

if you are passing by Heathrow enroute to giving Ken's place a seeing-to, there's a Bullseye for a few thermal pics of my gaff !

Best
