thanks for the warning! Will try to keep things in perspective. Large quantities of data do not bother me - I am used to them. One of the experiments I am involved produces over 1 million data points per second - soon adds up over a year or two!

still no joy at reaing the PIC. Probably I should check that I can indeed read DS18B20 sensors. I currently have 35  DS18S20 sensors. Could naturally buy some B20's but anyone prepared to swap? (The S20s are more expensive than the B20s)
