Its decision day today for Herefordshire County Council planners

They are considering whether to allow a controversial proposal to erect 4 three hundred meter high turbines nr Knighton in the north of the county.

They will generate leccy for 7000 homes.

Anyone know when windfarm planning becomes the remit of national government rather than local government? When it does so, we'll see a few more windfarms going up rather than being turned down on the basis of  objections based on 'I don't want company x to make money out of my wind'
