This is where they will be going once cleaned and outlets added...

Ohhhhh looks like fun.
Once upon a time, I was so slim i was able to climb inside juice tanks and scrub them clean of orange residue.

What will you use the water for?

the water will be used for toilets and washing machines to begin with, then showers and such once a better filter arrangement is fitted...

8 year old son has volunteered to go in and place the outlet though the hole...  Grin Grin Grin

How will you prevent very small particles of organic matter, bird carp etc from growing nasties in the tanks when they warm up?

The wall is north facing and gets no sun also thinking about a chlorine dosing unit...

Excellent!  When we did ours my then 10 year old son did that job, without batting an eyelid.  Good training.

Would it be possible to bury one of those in the lawn, with a suitable cover?  They are about £195 I recall so great value and lots of karma points for recycling.

Think they might be a bit soft walled for that, if full when back filled you might get away with it, 10 year old son offered to put the lid back on when his brother is inside.... Grin

The tanks are most likely ex israeli orange juice, 1000lt

2 firms i used to deal with were in the forest of dean, .....Dean drums and ray smith
