Could it simply be washed in a washing machine? I have an old one that still works... only use it for dog towels and dog bedding etc.

Wonder at what temp. one should wash it.. what to add ? Ecover or similar liquid ?

How much Borax would one have to add?

Unfortunately I don't have any sheep wool to try it ....

Anybody?

I stick my sheepskin rugs in the washing machine and wash as normal, come out just fine.

It would take a while to wash 1500 fleeces. Perhaps one of the lorry based cement mixers.

Perhaps put the fleece in a sack and tie the end up so as not to loose any bits in the machine.  Might take a while to even out before spinning mind  wackoold
