its starting to dawn on me that the TV licence is an even bigger rip off then i previously thought.
It should be half price and getting cheaper not going up with every budget.

Last night i watched Jellystone, and ive just found it being repeated
Last night i also watched a repeat of Monty Hall
This week ive also watched David Attenborough in Botswana, which was also repeated last night

The news is on from 0600 till 0915, with items on a rolling loop, ad nauseum,  then an update at 1100 and ive lost count how many more times. After the first time, its no longer news is it?

Taking out all the repeats, there cant be a lot of original tv in any 24 hours, so shouldnt the licence be half price?

Hi
I agree that there are too many repeats on the Beeb, but they suffer from having too many channels to fill, as do the other broadcasters, most of which are utter rubbish IMHO, however I do think the BBC is pretty good value at 40p a day, it,s so much better than the others.

Well, there's umpteen squillion for the crepuscular Woss, loads for director generals who are also the local spokesman for Mossad, and have masters degrees in arrogance in "knowing what's best" for us........ whistlie

Hmmm, I for one merely wish they wouldn't spend so much on their love-ins with Jonny Ross and Mr Moyles - they don't have talent, just the proverbial verbal...

I'm generally not a complainer, but really, the salaries that are paid are way above any talent that is assumed.

I wouldn't mind but we even have adverts on the beeb now   banghead

advertising themselves   banghead banghead banghead  at least it is between progs and not breaking up the flow

Now if we all got rid of the TVs and just watched download programs, no license

I am surprised you didn't catch that on Algy Syrup Martin.

Brandon

were always being told its public broadcasting so its public money

im frugal and careful with my money and other peoples, i always seek out a good deal and i hate waste

The Beeb waste so much and my punishment/dissatisfaction is shown by not paying into it.
Apart from the obscene salary paid to the likes of ross et al, im incensed that when there is some big story in the world, where we already have an on site reporter/correspondant, the beeb then fly out another news anchor to stand by the reporter to ask him questions that could be asked over the phone.

If that was private industry it would be bust years ago.
