I've not had much luck finding a place on the internet that sells the 6 types of warning lables needed for a grid tie system, I'm also not having much luck sourcing a DC isolator for less then £78 either - anybody know where i can get these?

I always got any labels i needed from my wholesaler you could buy them one at a time from a roll.
I recon most common ac isolators have a dc rating, so if it is rated at 100 amp ac it will take 75 amp dc, i would check the hager website?

ps can't realy see a problem with making your own labels as long as the wording is correct.

Labels are a pain, i made my own by printing the correct ones out then laminating them, but when i had my system tested the guy who did that fitted some proper stickers i did ask him where he got them , he said he did not hvae any problems in getting them , he did not say from where though.
I have ac isolator it is a telemecanic 64 amp ac switch and it is only taking about 6 amp dc. but as suggest i would get an electrician to sort one out so it is speced correctly my came as part of a kit
I hope i should be able to attach a jpg of some labels you could print out and laminate them

reece safety, is a company we use for labels and isolation equipment.

Thanks Petertec for the labels.
I'm part P registered but haven't done a PV installation yet. But soon will do and I have my annual inspection due soon. So the plan is to include the PV installation as one of the inspected sites. Will look into the labels and if I find a problem will let you know.

Petertec - as nicedad says thanks for the jpg and everyone else for thier contributions. i thought about laminating as well, the best practice document simply states "All labels must be clear, easily visible, constructed and affixed to last and remain legible for the lifetime of the system" so i cant see laminating being a problem if i needed to, but i'm suprised they're not more easy to get hold of.
The DC isolator remains the biggest problem still - i follow up the reece link - thanks tony.

sabian, reece safety,is a compant that makes labels and warning signs, and isolation equipment ie lockoffs padlocks etc.
look at the hager website for dc mcbs etc, they may have a range of dc isolators

As well as being rated to 240v and 100A they are cheap (about £15.00)

A good plan, rated at 125Vdc with 2 poles according to the hagerbr link Iain posted. |

I think you will find that even those that are not rated for DC will work fine at the low Dc voltages that we are dealing with. On higher Dc voltages they need suppression to stop arcing. Justme |
