sorry i took so long. i use a tdc3 from navitron it works well. if i were to change things i would get 2x30 because we don't get much sun in scotland and i would find a way to insulate the bottom of my cylinder as there is a lot of heat loss (wish i had known before)

If you don't mind spending an hour doing a bit of remedial work on your pipes, I reckon you could get rid of much of your heat loss, even without insulating the bottom of the tank.

It would improve things no end if the inlet and outlet to your solar coil dropped down to floor level first, then ran horizontal for at least 600mm, before rising to your pump/panel.

Hot water, wanting to rise, but having to fall, gets confused!  Huh Cheesy

i don't mind doing that but iam no good with pluming i got the solar installed i would have to pay  more and theres not much room to run more pipes it would have to bend back on itself ill just leave it the way it is thanks for the help.
