Umm,
Did he have any electricity before the turbines, did he want any?
I'm sure he was quite happy when he could make a living with his "live" goats....I doubt dead ones offer the same standards of living...
Why do we assume everyone should live by our standards, isn't that where it all went wrong in the first place?

Must have been a very sensitive race of goat. From what I've seen of goats, it'd be the windmill which would be having problems, not the animals.

Goats are normally tough old scrotes, I'd be curious to see some non-govt video footage of this story, hopefully with a windy day & some proper background.

erm 400 goats is actually quite a large flock in its own right, and this scans like he lost a proportion of his flock. 8 turbines would fit on about 8 acres (guestimate), 400 goats would not be doing very well grazing on just 8 acres, something is fishy with the whole of this story. Sounds like some creative journalism to me.

power company, Taipower, has offered to pay for part of the costs of building a new farmhouse elsewhere. Perhaps the farmer got what he wanted after all??
Of course, it could be that he couldn't afford to feed his goats, and the wind turbines were a convenient meal-ticket. The story also says the area is well-known for its howling winds - so how do the goats manage to sleep through howling winds.
Load of tosh, if you ask me.

You can ready it anyway you like, depends on what you want to see. I see the power company building a new farmhouse elsewhere as a sign of quilt......

Yes, perhaps we could have a swear filter dictionary so that we know what's going to come out in our posts. From 50 posts onwards?
