I currently have (3x210W) Sanyo HIP210NKHE1 24V panels.

Specs per panel:
Max Power                  210W
Short Circuit Current     5.57A
Open Circuit Voltage     50.9V
Max Power Current       5.09A
Max Power Voltage       41.3V
Max System Voltage     1000V
Max Over current rating 15A

These 3 panels are wired in series and connect to a Mastervolt Soladin 600.  Does anybody know if I can add any more panels + which panel if any would match well for my existing setup.

I think you are on the limit of your soladin there, add three more panels with a second soladin might be the easiest option for expansion

You can download the Mastervolt PV system calculator here:

http://www.mastervolt.com/download.php?id=4420

According to the spreadsheet, three Sanyo HIP210NKHE1 panels will provide too much voltage at low temperatures??

May be worth selling the Soladin and buying a bigger inverter if you want to add more panels??

Does wiring in parallel drop the voltage?

Hi Med,

yes, but you are already on the power limit for the S600 so that won't help your maximum power or overall efficiency.  If you absolutely want to keep the Soladin and boost/tweak upwards the power in shoulder time, you could possibly get another Sanyo panel and wire two pairs in parallel to the 600.  I wouldn't do it myself as you will be running the S600 on max for a lot of time, and also leaving a lot of Kwh on the table in peak times when the sun is shining.

Rather I'd go with alank's view, ie a new, more powerful inverter, or double up on the Soladins and the panels as nothern installer suggests.

Best regards

Bill

Any suggestions of a more powerful inverter?
