it's a bit of a mix... same buyer might get paid to take it away at once place and pay to take it at another...

it's all over the place.... all depends on how pushy the chip shop etc.. is and if they know what it's worth...

if they don't know it's worth anything they can still be paying a fiver for a 120litre drum to be taken away

i think the most people are paid for it is about 10p/litre

http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/forum/index.php

that forum should have all the information you need.... best to search trhough for what you want tho... it's all been talked about before and they have a short fuse for people who don;t use the search function !

Went into a pub yesterday, a friend said to landlord, what do you do with oil, "A lad used to collect it, but hasnt been for a while, there 4 cans (nearly 80L) outside, would you like to take it? I used to put it in centre of bin and pile rubbish all the way round it..........."
I explained how bad it was for the environment when it decomposes anaerobically.

10p Litre is a fair price for buyer and seller, imv.  As I wrote earlier links on http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=8253 cover collection and WTNs etc etc.
