Hi Everyone

Just found this website, designed to monitor your Power/water usage and give a carbon footprint. Just started using it today. I think it could be useful as a general power monitor and comparison with others.
Anyone else seen it?

I have used it for nearly a year now.  There have been some teething troubles - which are to be expected.

It you go on holiday, there is no way of inserting the missing results - linear interpolation is used and you are lumbered with it.  I had been away for four weeks and I sent in the latest readings (I have two meters - off-peak and 'normal').  One of the meters passed 99999 during the absence of data, and the software got itself in all sorts of problems in flagging the event having a lower new reading than the previous and having to cope with interpolation etc.

Then, no comparisons are available for my house because it is pretty rare - it's a four-bedroomed terrace dwelling.  So no go there.

I am due for a fairly long holiday, so it will be interesting - I should get zero consumption from the off-peak.  The on-peak meter might also pass 99999 during this period.  So I shall be kicked out for a second faux-pas.

I'm rated as "C" energy rating - that's going to come down. How do others compare?

Hi
I am afraid I am an"E"!!!

I am not convinced as I only have a few readings in and today's have gone in a few days early. Will check again in a couple of weeks.

not quite sure that is still true. i accidentally put in one week's results in the wrong place and it calculated the missing value but i went to the result it had calculated and added my reading
at least i'm pretty sure i did

I've been using it for about a year too. I find it really inspires me to lower my consumption week by week. I keep much more detailed logs in an Excel spreadsheet, but like the simplicity of the weekly readings that imeasure encourages.

I'm currently a 'C', but hope to be a 'B' once I get my new boiler and insulation improvements finished.

The makers of the site are quite active and I've had one of my feature requests implemented after posting on their forum. If you are having problems, it's worth letting them know.

I've just created a 'carbon club' on the site, called 'Navitron'. Please feel free to join. That way we can also measure ourselves against others from this forum, week by week.

Just registered and entered my details and had the confirmation email - but at the moment it still sees me as a guest on the carbontalk forum when I try to log in.  Says my user name is not recognised - but I can see all my registration details and my username is in there!

Monday 3rd - sorted out!  Can see all.

well, does you usage improve over that range of readings?
If not then you will stay where you are

Yes - but it's seasonal so I suppose it falls into line with other users - assuming they are similarly affected.  However, I don't know the date range that others have input or if the comparisons are made using the same length of time.

I will enter some more historical data later.
