Having just joined the forum, i have one quick question,  if i purchase a 10Kw Navitron turbine will i still be able to get the grant assistance.

No. Go to DTI or Carbon Trust website. The Chancellor is very careful with public funds. To qualify for a grant the turbine has to registered. Those which are registered are exeedingly expensive so people take the alternative route which is to buy a cheap imported generator and do as much themselves as they can. To qualify for the grant you must also have the thing installed by a registered installer, also exceedingly costly.
To get the full answer go to the websites. I think the Chancellor deserves a swift kick up the rear, myself......................

By the way, we have been waiting for Clearskies to register our solar panels since OCTOBER!! Not sure what the latest hold-up is, but I guess if we wait much longer, they will have run out of funding.. .again!! This does not give us much of a reason to pursue Clearskies to list the wind turbines.
