I managed to pin John Moriaty in a bar for about two hours on Friday 18th September after the event, we were in the same hall at uni.

What would you like to know?

Hi,

I installed my PV in 10/2008 and am ROC registered. I currently sell my excess to npower (75% of the production).

My questions : (if anyone knows)

-Will I qualify for FITs?
-Will I keep getting the ROCs?

Thanks,

Stef

Yes - all existing ROC registered systems should be automatically transferred across to FITs from 1st April 2010 at the 9p rate.
No - the 9p FIT will replace the ROC.

Really?  What were you expecting to happen?

The rate paid for export will be in addition to that. Currently proposed at 5p if you are prepared to sign up to a 25 year contract otherwise a moving market value.

Ted
I have looked through all the posts but can't find a specific. Sorry if I have missed it and you have already covered it. Just about to commission a 1.98 PV system and it will be MCS accredited. I believe I will be entitled to the new FIT. From what you have read/understood, do I have to apply for ROC's now and then will automatically get transferred. or do I have to apply some other way to be registered straight in on the new system. I think Wookey is in a similar situation

You can't apply for FITs before next April.  All you can do is apply to register for ROCs and keep your fingers crossed.
