Pretty typical day today - not much sunshine, some rain, fairly overcast....yesterday was pretty similar. We haven't heated the water since Thursday night, as we didn't need to on Friday, and I've been away Sat/Sun.....we arrived home to a tank at 38C (top and bottom). The long pipe run (16m of 15mm pipe) to my main bank of solar tubes now means that I won't get anything much out of them until spring.

Weather has also been v. poor here the past week but it is still quite warm. Little from PV or water this weekend. Desp. has a seriously oversized system and it will be very interesting to see how it does.

Not a bad day here. It might be 26th October but panels still contibuted a nice 9C rise to the cylinder. Would have been more but there was HW use 'till about 11.30am.

Actually, a surprisingly good day here today - nice sunshine from around 9am until lunchtime. Tank finished up at 50C.

Haven't got any real monitoring on the system yet, havent even finished the insulation, system has been running for 1 week now and so far gasser has run for about 45 mins and the solar has run for29 hours finishing most evenings at about 55deg c at s2. I will endeavor to get more scientific in due course.
All the best Desp

We had some rain in October so output from PV and Thermal are lower than Spetember but that is normal for this part of France.

Not a great month, a lot of cloud and not many clear spells. Average 4.7kwh per day compared to 8.3 in September.

October was a good month down in E.Berks. Mild and a little more sunlight than Oct 2008. Daily kWh and average daily temp (average of readings at 0800, 1600 & 2400 each day) up on last year.
