Hello All,
Do any forum members know what type of (free) export meter would be installed by Southern Electric in the South Yorkshire area. I do not have much room in my fuse board cupboard and single economy 7 meter with export built in would be ideal?
Thanks
John.

Thanks Iain for your reply. I take it that the meter is dual element i.e. Economy 7 and also measures exported electricity? Just out of interest what are the approx' measurements of the meter - from your picture its looks no larger than an A100C Total Generation meter? Thanks again . John.

Thank you Iain - that meter would be perfect for my needs, except that it sounds like its not an Economy 7 meter i.e. one with two rates - Day & Night. I imagine that a similar meter is available that includes Economy 7 -I know that this type of meter requires a radio link (set to Radio 4) to keep the time sync'd correctly. If any forum members have one of these meters fitted (with export) I would like to here from you . Best Regards John.

Curiously the specs on this meter state <25VA Voltage circuit and <4VA Current Circuit. Not what sure what this means in this context?

Thats the power consumption for the voltage and current measuring circuits, must be related to the input voltage if there expressing it in VA.

I had a dual rate import (day & E7) / export meter installed by SE, free of charge. The E7 works via the meter processor time clock that is set to GMT. So watch out when the clocks change to BST.

Stu that makes a lot more sense. Where exactly would the power come from? Would it be the DNO or the customer that provided the energy? Sean p.s. Do I still have a coat of yours?

Thanks Franz. Excellent picture. Ample room for sparky if one of these meters are fitted by SE (via YEDL I think?) - leaving space for another PV system . Kind Regards John
