Hi All, I am switching from EON to SE to export my electric to them on their microgeneration tariff. I have done this on their website about 7 days ago, and when you speak to customer services they have no record of your app' Has anybody had the same experience as me? John.

Why don't you sign up with EBICO as Southern Electric is acting as their supplier. The rate you want is EquiPower. Once you have a Supply start date with SE you should contact microgeneration@scottish-southern.co.ukHope this helps. Franz

Have since discovered that:
SE have a short waiting period before they process your application and then I believe you have to wait for a further 7 days (cooling off period) before they start formal proceedings to switch your supply. The whole process should last no more than 28 days.
If anybody knows any different then please let me know.
Will keep the forum posted on proceedings (including exporting to them).
John.

Hi All, Thing progressing nicely - so far so good - electricity switches over later in the month, ROC forms completed and sent off and hopefully new import/export meters will be fitted early Jan 2010 I doubt that I will gain much in ROC's but I should be moved on to the FIT in April - fingers crossed John.

Well some good news on the export meter situation - SE are now taking over my area and thus a combined import/export with E7 can be fitted, instead of two separate meters Still producing a bit of free leccy despite regular snow fall......roll on summer John.

You cannot. The declaration that you must make to the EST states:
I confirm that the installation described above has been completed to my satisfaction.
I confirm that the installer described above has been paid and I enclose a copy of the installer's receipted invoice. Where that installer was not my main contractor, I also enclose a copy of a receipted invoice showing that I have paid my main contractor, together with any other copy invoices needed to show the chain of payments between the main contractor and the installer.
I enclose a copy of my commissioning certificate (in the form specified by the Energy Saving Trust) which has been filled in and signed by my installer.
I confirm that I have obtained planning permission for the installation at my property, or obtained confirmation from the relevant Local Planning Authority that planning permission is not required.

Apparently, you can extend the Grant Offer, if for example, your contractor cannot source your inverter due to a supply shortage.

Apparently, you can extend the Grant Offer, if for example, your contractor cannot source your inverter due to a supply shortage.
The grant letter states that the grant must be claimed within 4 months. It does not appear to allow an extension. However, I agree that it might be useful to have an extension if the inverter does not arrive in time and it would be pragmatic to allow them. I sincerly hope I don't need one. the panels will be installed later this week and I am expecting the inverter before the end of March. My four months go to the end of May. Have you heard that they are allowed or is it just your interpretation of the conditions? John

Hi I had the grant extended. They allow one extension period. I just phoned up and it was sorted, they sent a confirmation letter the next day. Iain
