FYI  default OSC freq

ported my code back to 12F683 and it ran good on 1 chip 3 other chips would not run
Using GP4 clockout I found that the default cycle time on the running chip was
                               .41us ==> 2.43mhz*4 ==> 9.75 + mhz
the other 3         .47- .48us ==> 2.1mhz * 4 ==> 8.42+ mhz

The code runs good on both ibutton viewer and onewireviewer when the the OSC is 10mhz
and unfortunately most of the chips with fine tuning [ostune=0x0F] only go to .42us ==> 9.5 mhz and code drops in/out
so I will stick with the 12F1822 price is very close to same

we used the 12F683s as the latest 16F1xxx chips have only arrived within the last year or so. I am hoping to move up to a 16F1827 running at 32MHz but I think I have blown mine by using 12V rather than 9V on my programmer.

I though I blew some of the 12F1822 same way , but lucked out ,  bought pickit2 and 3  both work
ok  with 12F1822 ,,, maybe you will get lucky to.. signofcross

I've been having problems with 1 wire viewer hanging
ver 4.03 drivers  and ver 3.15.50
hangs about every 3 days and have to restart it
anybody else having this prob Huh
