its why i'm doing it

« on: November 12, 2009, 08:48:10 PM »

just a thought

would it be possible to fit a tiny water turbine to the header tank water supply so that when the bath / shower is used a
small amount of electric is made to heat the DHW tank via a custom immersion heater

after all its 3bar and 15Ltr/min

might be classed as stealing from the water company!!

A simpler way is to  use the voltage  on the telephone line, don't think it would heat the  water though.

I have a self powered water filter attached to my kitchen tap , producing Ozone to desinfrct the water ( just in case )
needs about 2 bar preasure to allow the inbuilt waterturbine to generate the power for producing the ozone

I was cruising around the internet last night and found these DIY solar panels. They seem a little pricey but if the quality is their then I don't mind paying a little extra. What do you think about their solar tubes: -spam link removed by admin - AND your last warning - no more spam or you'll get an instant lifetime ban! police

Note- in my experience there are no higher quality panels available than the "house brand" - if you are foolish enough to think that paying extra to profiteers will get you anything better, you're in for an expensive shock! Wink

For the record, it was a very dodgy sounding company based in Cheshire who were punting systems by what would appear to be a totally invented company, and their panels (unlike the house brand) are on NO approved lists, yet are ludicrously expensive!) Wink spam! spam! spam!

A little further googling finds that the website that was spammed (Cheshire-based) have at least two identical websites offering the same stuff - claims of panels made in Switzerland would appear to be false - avoid at all costs (the firm's address also appears to be an undistinguished terrace house in Hoole)...........a little more Googling confirms my suspicion - there's a third business at the same address - a "web design company" that boasts that a certain "Stuart L......" has 10 years web design experience, and sports yet another "off the same template as the other two" typical scamsters website..........
Now what a complete coincidence that the person I nuked was also called "Stuart"
And a little more Googling shows that there has been widespread spamming of other web forums advertising the same two scam companies........ oh what a giveaway! Grin Grin Grin

got a right one here! - he's also stupid enough to have used his own name in the form of "surnamestuart@hotmail.com", which is surprisingly enough the same name that a simple ip search on the owners of the relevant webnames resolves to............. Stuart L............ (otherwise known as "Stuartcraig") Grin Grin Grin
