      Thanks Peter,
Have an applaud, Great diagram! I have most bits to get started, do you use a pressure tank/combined pump? would the pump provide enough pressure to operate a reverse osmosis system effectively?

My first recollection of tinkering was wiring a 240v radio cord to a 9v motor to my technic Lego truck, it ended with setting the kitchen on fire!............................I couldn't sit down for two days!

The system that i have uses a separate pressure vessel ( this was fitted because the ball valves closes slowly and the pump ended up rapidly switching on an off.)
this is the spec on the pump that i have
The Par-Max automatic pressure pumps automatically begin to operate when a tap is opened. This is an efficient high-flow self priming pump serving 2-3 outlets at the same time. Self primes to 3 metres high, can run dry without damage. Delivers 11 litres/minute, pressure switch cuts in at 10psi and out at 25psi. ( note you can adjust this)

just had a quick look at a RO filter on line and this was running at 60  psi have you bought the ro unit already ?

So you may need a bigger booster pump, if you are looking for a mains powered one DAB pumps did a good unit here is a similar one form  Northern tool.

Check the carriage cost when comparing prices.

Hope this helps and does not muddy the water to much  Grin
