Vote for Forum King/Queen 2009!

You each have 7 votes to cast, although you don't have to use all of them if you don't want to.

I've simply taken the top-posting members (most=first), simply because it seems to be the fairest way to select candidates without a lenghty consultation (we're not civil servants, you know!).

That's not to say a couple of sock puppets couldn't half 'help' the whole issue...

The selection-by-volume process is not ideal. I find myself wanting to vote for a couple of people who are not on the list: KLD and DJH, both of whom provide excellent advice.

Quality not necessarily equal to quantity.

Yes, I agree. Also, someone who is a regular contributor but only joined recently, wouldn't feature.  I was just trying to avoid listing everyone!

If anyone would like to add someone to the list - just post a request and I'll add them. I'll add Wookey's two excellent nominations.

Careful, Wyleu, or your name will be erased from the list, eliminating your chances of wearing the crown this year.

P.S. no more nominations please! We need some voting.

I used all my seven, but personally would give everyone a vote, as everyones contribution whether little or small, makes for a great forum.

To paraphrase Groucho I don't want to be on any list that would have me...

Is there a closing date or haven't I noticed it yet?

... and the award will take place at the next party...? WON'T IT?  stir

This looks like a seniority and time served list rather than impact. I know number of posts is easy to measure but more recent forum members such as Noel and Stuart should be given a chance.

Always preferred the single transferable vote rather than top x. Vote for everybody you like but in numerical order  but I'm sure Ivan is doing the best he can with the forum tools.

StB You know who to vote for!
