Please, Please, Please, guy's Christmas has gone VAT is now back at 17.5% and the Navitron offices are now open so can we ditch the add at the top of the page.

Once upon a time in the dim and distant noughties I could log onto the site, view a topic are even have a wee rant without scrolling down the page. I am now sick of looking at two sprigs of holly one energy meter, a lantern and a tacky 'eco fan' whatever that is  sh*tfan before I can do anything  Grin

Cheers, Paul

Well, we're still eating mince pies, drinking sherry and brushing the snow off our boots here.

guy's Christmas has gone

why has MY Christmas gone?  Huh

Guy's xmas = the xmas of Guy. The apostrophe refers to ownership of.

guys xmas = the xmas of men / people in general

pedant mode off - yes - remove the xmas logo - looks like you can't organise a drinking session in a brewery....

guys xmas = oy, you 'orrible lot, pay attention, xmas...

guys' xmas = xmas of men / people in general

Sorry, there isn't an off switch for my pedant mode so, yes,  I agree it does look a bit feeble to have out-of-date announcements at the top of the page.

ah, but then you lose the 'show unread posts' and show replies to my posts' links which are the two most used links as far as I am concerned.

I think  you need to have a look at  a food storage chart.    Se the section "meat leftovers"
