I'm trying to finalise details on a PassivHaus new build in the Chippenham (Wiltshire) area and I'm looking for a installer that can help with the design for, and provide quotes on a system for:

  • Solar Thermal providing DHW 9 mths of year (or more)
  • Wood burning stove with back boiler
  • Thermal store (probably ~1000l)
  • (Option for gas boiler - not fitted initially but if needed in future)
  • Supply DHW (plate heat exchanger)
  • Supply underfloor heating and towel radiators
  • Future option to heat small indoor pool (well insulated)
  • All controls etc.

Potentially other aspects of plumbing as well if interested.

Minimal space heating will be needed except in the coldest of weathers and the DHW will be helped by drainwater heat recovery.

I already have some idea of how the system should look but am open to alternatives.

Private message me for email/phone numbers.

Really no-one out there working with Navitron around Wiltshire, or does it all look too complicated for anyone to be bothered with?

It looks pretty similar to my CRAC project, and I would be willing to do it, BUT I am busy till at least September.......

I would also need somewhere to kip during the week.

Apologies to all respondees - I've been consolidating my thoughts into a proper diagram to discuss around (amongst all the other things to sort out for a new build). Should have something available by Monday morning.

Timescale isn't a big problem we haven't built the house yet, but I want to make sure we've got the plumbing detail designed so that we can ensure the building details are sympathetic, and to get a rough idea of the price so we can see if we are living in cloud cuckoo land or not.

OK, so at last the system outline is put together, and hopefully attached. Any feedback from the wider community is welcome. I'll contact respondents with house plans for reference individually.

Thanks very much,
Mark.
