Money saving expert forums help with all sorts of money issues and a new forum is about FITS. I think some of us here should help out the complete newbies who are on that forum! here it is:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2416423
as you'd expect, there's a fair amount of rubbist put up but i think it'd be good to get some more experienced people onto that thread- might encourage joe public to make more informed decisions on FITs. of course the first post should be look at navitron forums!

Agreed, even things as simple as telling which way your roof is aligned / fall, confuse people these days, I'd also guess that not too many people can tell North from south or east from west unless theres a roadsign Stating "the North" (our busy lives)  Roll Eyes ..& so failure may often start at the first awkward step.

I'm wholly in agreement that someone needs to stand up & state the fits line of PV  V's thermal / payback as that's how it's all seen ..financial, & the old solar egg/chicken question of payback time based on investment.

I'd be very happy for anyone to post an open invitation to pop in here for advice, or obviously for anyone from here to give help on their board too - we're all in this together, and I've got a lot of respect for Martin Lewis! Cool

The views on the board do make for some reading, anyone with an account over there would be well advised to sort out some chaff with regards to renewables, theres some Ralfy type views over there which need de-briding.

Surely it's very easy? You just put your satnav into north-up mode and turn in circles whilst holding it until what you see matches what the map is showing. Simples  Grin Grin Grin

Of course if you've got a fancy one built-in to your car, things get more complicated  tumble
