hi folks,
i recently set about desiging an array of solar panels,5 x 165watt @120vdc. then a single 165watt@24volt,i have first rate scaffolding poles and clips plus loads of quickfit but the main problem was actually attaching the solar panel itself, having 4 mounting points already drilled,
so i had another brainwave,,, i pulled out 12 scaffold swivel clips and drilled out the swivel pins, leaving me with 24 halfs,,so now all i have to do is put a large mudflap washer inside the half clip,approx30mm,this positions the new bolt in exactly the right position inside the clip where the swivel pin has been removed, bolt 4 of these to each solar panel and goodness me,it should be strong and readily adaptable to any situation when using the trusty scaffold bars as supports. whistlie
i promised everyone some good pics of turbines and solar panels but despite all the best intentions and hard efforts we have been unable to load a single pic,its been truly exasperating, even with biff,s departure i wanted a pic of him but so far to no avail.we will keep trying,
