Apparently until recently Europe as whole was developing 14 different main battle tanks. That sounds crazy. Then again if you look at every other collaboration on military projects, I don't think a jointly developed tank would work. Afterall, the Italians require 5 fwd gears and 10 reverse and the French need one that raises a white flag automatically at the start of battle......allegedly...  Grin

Anyone in a tank  when helicopters are about would need  a quick escape mechanism as well as a big white flag.

you are missing the point, the tanks would have to have gutless two cylinder engines and wobbly suspension, and make a noise like farting in the bath... banghead

Watched a good program on the centurion last night, 60 years of service and stilla few special units in operation, maybe we should just start building them again!   stir I think it got as far as the MK XIV and the rest of the world loved em too as they were a great export item  whistlie

Then again, we could just agree to be good neighbours and not get the sticks out as soon as there are cross words  sh*tfan
