how to claim the feed in tariff

Can someone tell me if you have PV installed as an example this week what the process is to claim the full FIT?  Do you have to go down the ROCS route or can you just wait till April 1st?  Does anything happen automatically? Also how does payment work, do you receive credit or a cheque,etc?

If you had it installed this week - it would have to be done by an approved, accredited, MCS installer. If it was not - you cannot claim anything. ROCs was shut off last year - and you cannot join it.

Quite how the payment works I don't know.

We are a fully MCS registered company but still havent grasped on how the FITs work?

For new systems that have not registered for ROCs by 31st March 2010:

1. MCS installer commissions system
2. MCS installer passes site details to Gemserv
3. Gemserv puts site details onto database
4. Owner approaches supplier to claim FITs
5. Supplier checks that site details are on Gemserv database
6. Supplier confirms to owner that they are accepted onto FITs
7. Owner provides supplier with meter readings
8. Supplier pays or credits owner - at least quarterly

So based on the above there is no reason why the installation used for accreditation assesment cannot claim FITS?

Non MCS Installer commissions system and get passed for part P ?
Non MCS Installer has system inspected by MCS Accreditation body
Non MCS Installer now has his paperwork and is a MCS approved installer.
System is now a secondhand system?
or all OK and can be registered with Gemserv.
Depends I suppose on what the MCS accreditation body needs to sign off on inspection!!
Can't be that the system has been commisssion can it, does it hasve to have been signed off underbuilding regs?
