On the contrary it's different for other parts of the world.  I read in the news, looks like some countries down at or near the equator have their water levels going down so it's gonna be bad for farm irrigation and drinking water supply in the next few months if it continues.

hi everyone;
      we thought it would be roasting hot here when we landed in marrakeck saturday night,left the snow and wind behind and drove into torrential rain from agider to marrakech,rained all yesterday also but the sun has come out for the annual berber market here today; the trip through the atlas mts; was the trip from hell,
 this is a far cry from donegal;the taxis are ancient 205s,, fiat uno;s;;106S . and anything that can turn a wheel: however 30yr old merc 220s diesels rule the road to agider with their suicidal demon drivers, nothing has less than a half turn in the steering wheel; tomorrow we go to casablanca on the coast by train: bike
