No just at the drive end, the other end terminates at the bottom of an elbow under the burner.

The reconditioned screw went in on Friday afternoon and after another quick tickle with the angle grinder it fitted nicely. I've had no issues since fitting it and the exhaust temperature sensor finally found its way through the backlog of Christmas cards this morning so I can fit it tonight.

Since we had the problem with the boiler we've been using the WBS a lot more and its very effectice at lowering pellet consumption as the DHW TS never seems to drop below 50 C and in the evening with the living room doors closed the heating stays off and we stay toasty.  Grin

I feel your Pain .....
We've had problems with our Baxi wood pellet boiler.
First a worn through power cable to the fan, kept blowing an internal fuse and tripping an RCD. Intermittent though, was a b****r to find, took me a week.
Now we are waiting for some bearings for an agitator in the hopper.   winter  The current bearing set is stuffed and letting air through hence hopper not properly sealed hence drags hot air from fire chamber hence the dreaded burn back... Couldnt run it like that was burning back everyday.
I like the idea of a back boiler WBS to run all day, partly as backup........ hmmm, must look at that!

I am  really impressed with your layout, and the fact you did it your self. If I could give an applaud I would do.

I am sorry to ask a real dense question  but could you give me the spec for the tank  or heat store in the loft, I can't seem to find it.   I very much like the schematic is very good  and is a very similar layout to that which I am going to go for. However you have put me off the pelleted burner, I will stick with the rayburn.

best wishes

Mike
