That shows either astonishing confidence that they can get the EPR to work, or astonishing stupidity. Committing to 10GW of what has been a pretty rubbish design so far is "brave"

Yep. I'll be astonished if it ever works, also given the Indian governments record on corruption, I'll also be astonished if some very juicy 'commissions' aren't involved.

Looks like they are ironing the issues out (in China at least)

Good to see that India has faith in nuclear power for base load. Also they are negotiating with Russia found r some of there plants too.
Also in China, the commissioning dates of the EPRs has gone back from the originally planned dates. Should be on soon,as should okiluouto in Finland.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a beleiver in Nuclear energy, but the EPR has not been, yet, a riproaring success. !!
