Post by: martin on July 14, 2007, 06:22:43 PM
History was made again today - at a local water festival at Arlington Reservoir, where we were running a display of renewables, the world's first solar powered chai was brewed by Solarwind - the two young ladies in the photograph pronounced it excellent!
More photos and details to follow! ;D ;D ;D

First, pukka ingredients! -black peppercorns, cloves, green cardamoms, cinnamon, fresh ginger, sugar, teabags and evaporated milk (added for the last half hour) -

all ground and sliced, bunged into solar kettle with water, and allowed to steep in the sun for a couple of hours - the only attention I gave it was to upend it once in a while to stop the spices sticking ;D

Then when it looks suspiciously like a glass of guinness - pour and enjoy!
